ICMIF BIENNIAL
CONFERENCE 2024

12-15 November 2024: Buenos Aires (Argentina)

Hosted by AACMS and ADIRA

Why leaders attend the ICMIF Conference

The ICMIF Biennial Conference is the premier global gathering of mutual and cooperative insurance leaders from across the world. A conference with a difference, the event is designed to stimulate original ideas for better business performance and strategic advantage: helping leaders create real, lasting value for their organisations, their member-policyholders, and the communities they serve.

Through the inspirational presentations, provocative panel discussions, and unrivalled peer-to-peer networking opportunities at the Conference, delegates will gain clear insights into the trends that are shaping the future of our industry. They will learn about practical solutions to common challenges from fellow mutual/cooperative insurers; and develop trusted relationships and connections with other leaders from across ICMIF’s diverse, global network.

The ICMIF Biennial Conference 2024 will take place from 12-15 November 2024 in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and will be hosted by ICMIF members the Argentinean Association of Cooperative and Mutual Insurers (AACMS) and the Association of Insurers of the Interior of the Argentine Republic (ADIRA).

The Buenos Aires Conference will also include the fourth ICMIF Young Leaders Programme, designed to help develop the next generation of mutual/cooperative insurance leaders.

Conference testimonials

The Centenary Conference in Rome was my first ICMIF Conference and I was, to be honest, literally blown away by the event, with all the similarities between my organisation and other ICMIF members and the fact that we are all experiencing the same things. Meeting similar-sized and also many larger mutuals from around the world and having good conversations during the conference was really very inspirational... I’m definitely looking forward to Argentina later this year to meet up with the connections from Rome and to network more because those relationships and the ICMIF network is very, very valuable for us.

While attending the ICMIF Conference in Rome, I was more than enlightened by the speakers/leaders from all over the world. The takeaways from this conference more than exceeded my expectations, so much so that I actually learned something important about myself. Sustainability matters! This event fueled my passion and kickstarted our company’s efforts towards sustainability. I returned to my team with pages of ideas and practical examples of how to execute our strategic priorities over our next strategic plan. With all the attendees that you get to learn from, it’s like taking a six-month university course in three days.

The ICMIF Centenary Conference in Rome was truly inspiring. Meeting mutuals from around the world enriched my perspective, providing valuable insights that we have integrated into our strategy. Our aim is to position ourselves as the leading financial institution in the Netherlands for seniors (50+). Seeing the significant role mutual insurance plays on a global scale was eye-opening. It was impressive to observe how these insurers collaborate and partner to address major issues like climate change.
